Dear Parents and Carers,

I would just like to say a quick welcome back to school and hope you had a great Easter break with your families and friends. We are looking forward to a busy and exciting term, with lots to look forward to, including trips, assemblies, residentials, sporting events and much, much more!

At the Infants we will be continuing to focus on the standards in phonics and the delivery of the curriculum in our Year R/1 classes. Year 2 will now be going to the Junior School for their Wednesday afternoon of Computing and PE.

At the Juniors we will be focusing on the progression of Reading from Year 3 to Year 6, Handwriting and development of Maths through practical activities which really engage the children. This is a very busy term for all but especially our Year 6's which we really hope will make the end of their time at FCVS special.

Through both schools we will be working on our comms and marketing strategy and making sure the children are ready for the next step of their education.

I hope to see you around school soon so please say hi or if you can make one of our coffee mornings it would be great to see you. They are Wednesday 15th April 9-9:45am for the Infants and Thursday 16th April 9-9:45am for the Juniors. These are new as we thought it would be a valuable opportunity for us to have informal chats about what we are doing in school or be just a chance to catch up generally. We plan to do more of these over the rest of the academic year.
