The children have had a quieter week this week, all settling into school life. 

The School Nursing Team visited the school on Thursday for the yearly flu vaccinations. They commented on how lovely and polite the children were.

Parent Consultations

In October we will be holding the Parent Consultations. Please can I ask that you log onto Arbor and make sure that your contact details are up-to-date, especially your email address. Further details will be sent out in due course.

Pret-a-Portrait

Will be attending both schools on 19th October. Siblings will be able to have their photographs taken together. Further details will be sent out nearer the time.

Sharing of Food

Can we ask that you speak to your child(ren) regarding sharing food with others. Although it is a nice gesture, we do have children with certain food allergies. We have noticed at breaktimes, children sharing food. The children are spoken to when we see it, but if you could just explain the possible implications, this would help us, thank you.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

Farnham Common Village Schools are hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning on Wednesday 30th September. This will be held at the Infant School from 9am. We hope to see both Infant and Junior School parents at this event. We would be very grateful for donations of cakes to be dropped to the Infant School on Tuesday 29th or Wednesday 30th.

Fencing Plea

We are looking for a little help from our school community and beyond. Our wooden fences around the school grounds / playground are looking really sorry for themselves and are desperately in need of replacing. We are hoping that one of our parents may have a contact or recommendation for someone in the fencing trade. If you have a connection to a reputable fencing company, that may be able to help us, we would be extremely grateful if you could get in touch. Every recommendation could make a real difference to our school. Thank you so much for your support!

Pupil Premium

We now ask families who are in receipt of Pupil Premium to make a contribution towards school trips.

Pupil Premium funding is allocated to support pupils in a range of ways, and it is at the Headteacher's discretion as to how this funding is used, depending on the individual needs and priorities within the school.

Therefore, being eligible for Pupil Premium does not automatically mean that the full cost of a school trip will be covered by the school.

If you are finding it difficult to make the requested contribution, please contact the school office, and the head teacher will be happy to discuss this with you confidentially and see where we can support you.
