FCJS Weekly Bulletin 10th July 2026
Welcome to the weekly bulletin 10th July 2026
Hope you have all had a good week!
Year 6
The year 6’s have been very busy practising their end-of-year production. Tickets are now on sale via Arbor (for year 6 parents).
Please check your emails for details of the Year 6 leavers disco. Apologies for the date / time change but the health and safety of children and adults needs to come first. We hope you can still attend.
Year 4 Bronze and Year 5 Silver Challenge
The year 4 pupils enjoyed a trip to Burnham Beeches and the Year 5's enjoyed an afternoon of kayaking on Taplow lake.
Author Visit
Author Tony Bradman visited the school on Monday 6th July. He read his book and gave the suggestion that teachers should back-flip into class, which the children were quite enthusiastic about!
FSM / PP Application Form
Please remember to return your completed forms by 17th July to be sent off
Household Support Fund
The Household Support Fund ended on 31 March 2026 and has been replaced by the Government’s new Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF). This new fund focuses on targeted support for families experiencing sudden financial hardship.
Because of this change, families who are eligible for free school meals will no longer receive food vouchers during school holidays.
Eligible families will still be able to access the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, which provides free activities and healthy meals during school holidays. If you are not eligible for HAF, families are encouraged to use existing community support such as kids eat free offers and community cafés.
More information about local support is available on the Buckinghamshire Council website.
Camps / Clubs
If your child is not attending an after-school club for any reason, please can you let the office know.
Lunches
If your child is having a hot lunch, please make sure you order them one. The lunch order form is sent out on Tuesdays and needs to be completed by 09:00 the following Monday.
Gates
The jubilee and sports field gates close at 08:50 each morning. You will need to bring your child to the main entrance in Sherbourne Walk if it is after this time.
Please remember to send your child in with a full water bottle.
We break up for Summer on Wednesday 22nd July at 13:30 and return on Thursday 3rd September.
Have a lovely weekend and we will keep you updated with any potential changes due to the weather.
