FCIS Art Gallery
There has been an exciting buzz around school today with the Art Gallery event. I’m sure you will agree there has been some amazing work created by the children during Art Week and this was such a special way to celebrate this. If you would still like to purchase your child’s work and didn’t get chance pop into school. Please call the office for the QR code if you would like to donate to buy your child’s art work.
September Club Listings
Next week we will be providing a list of the forthcoming clubs that will be available in September. These will go live on Arbor and available for booking the following week.

Transition Day
We have our transition day on Tuesday 7th July. Children will spend time in the day with their new teachers. Year 2 children will walk over with school staff, please drop them at the Infant School at normal time. A reminder to those joining Reception in September that you are invited to a Stay and Play session during the morning. If you are not sure which time slot to attend, please contact the office.
Summer Reading Challenge – Set by our local library
The Summer Reading Challenge:
· Significantly improves reading confidence and independence
· Ensures pupils are ready for their autumn return, preventing the summer reading ‘dip’
· Aids the successful transition between year groups and key stages
· Contributes to all pupils’ achievement and encourages extra-curricular activity
· Develops links between your school, the library and the wider community
How it works:
Hot Weather Reminder
As we continue to enjoy the warm weather next week, please ensure your child comes to school with the following, these steps will help keep children safe, comfortable, and hydrated throughout the day:
INFANT Sports Day Friday 10th July 2026
**Due to the hot weather Sports Day and the School Summer Fayre has now been rescheduled to the 10th July 2026**
Children should be dropped into school and picked up as normal. However, there will be no wrap around after school care that day!
Sports Day will take place @ the Junior school from 9:30am – 11:30am. Lunch will be back at the Infant school as normal. Please ensure children come to school in their normal PE kit (Acorn any T shirt, shorts & trainers) with sun cream applied, hats and water bottles.
The school car park is only open to those who are usually permitted. Please use roads around the village or the Sports Club to park your car and ensure it is not on grass verges or corners/blind spots in order to respect our neighbours.
School Summer Fayre – Friday 10 July
Our School Summer Fayre will take place on Friday 10th July 2026, from 3:15pm to 5:30pm – we hope you can all join us!
We look forward to a fantastic afternoon!
We are also looking for volunteers to help on the day – if you are able to lend a hand, please do get in touch. Your support would be hugely appreciated.
If you are interested in a stall or volunteering, please contact the PTA via email at friendsfcvs@gmail.com.
